Muriel Barclay

Muriel Barclay took to the floor in June at Inverarity One to One with her show entitled ‘Performance’.

A contemporary painter who has an interest in depicting figures within twenty-first century contexts, Muriel approaches her painting with dynamism, energetic physicality and occasional humour. She has a host of successful solo shows to her credit and her awards include the Mabel MacKinlay Award and Glasgow Art Club Fellowship from the RGI, John Green Fine Art Award at the PAI and the Glasgow Society of Women Artists Special Award. Her paintings hang in many public and private collections worldwide including Ernie Els, Sir Arnold Clark, Sultan of Brunei, Alex McLeish and HBOS.
