LEO DU FEU
Young Scottish artist Leo du Feu has a deep love of landscape and environment. The landscapes and natural history of Scotland are his particular inspiration. Recently Leo travelled to Orkney thanks to the Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award which was awarded to ‘best artwork by an artist under 30’ at the RSW Annual Exhibition. This Summer will see Leo sketching the even grander landscapes of Canada having been awarded a prestigious Royal Over-Seas League Commonwealth Travel Scholarship.
An ongoing project sees ScotRail lending their support to Leo as he explores the many rail-accessible areas of Scotland. Leo’s largest commission to date is on permanent display at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh where four giant paintings of land, sky and space tower high above the viewer. Many examples of Leo’s work can be seen on his website – www.leodufeu.co.uk.
Exhibited on Friday 2nd April
