Damian Callan
Damian trained as a scientist in Cardiff, before coming to Edinburgh to work with people with learning disabilities.
After eight years teaching at the Garvald Centre he went on to study Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art.
He then won scholarships to Prague, Toulouse and Tuscany and was artist-in-residence at Liberton Hospital, Edinburgh. He has also taught at the Edinburgh College of Art and was part-time tutor at Leith School of Art and The National Galleries of Scotland until 2005, when he dedicated his time to painting in his Edinburgh studio.
