Inverarity One to One. Face to Face.

I have always considered myself a real foodie but it wasn't until I started in the business that I really developed a passion for wine and discovered what a perfect partner to food it is...I love matching the right bottle to the right dish, ideally improving both as a result. As I learned more, I realised I had what is politely termed "an open palate" (I like everything!) but my favourites are Champagne, white Burgundy and Stellenbosch reds.

After more than 10 years in Oddbins, I landed my ideal job with Inverarity opening a fine wine boutique in Glasgow. We stock an amazing range from around the world, and our flagship store on Bath Street features everything from the Timorous Beasties house wines, through Krug and Montrachet, to Petrus and beyond! We also have an amazing array of hand-rolled cigars in our beautiful walk-in humidor which doubles as my office.

I have been joined in the shop by Julie Warner who has a real passion for wine, which has been fuelled by trips all over the world (notably California and New Zealand...just don't ask her about Martinborough Pinot Noir unless you have time to kill!) In May 2009, Julie launched the all-new Inverarity Wine School where she shares her knowledge and enthusiasm for the product with her students.
